Title: Council's approval of the Kona development project, Incomprehensible/unbelievabl
Post by: Kerry on December 15, 2006, 04:42:10 PM
This post is for me to get this subject out of my mind. That is to say, it's clear that other residents, those who are adversely affected, tried to communicate with council members and failed.

It's simply incomprehensible as to why the majority of council members recently approved the huge residential project. I can only imagine that those who voted in favor of the project, with it's projected 500-800 more cars on Kona's streets, have not driven around Kona recently. Perhaps each did for one day but certainly not daily as do Kona residents.

I'd sure appreciate a logical explanation for approving this project. Friends suggest everything from corruption (pay backs) and supporting the investments of their friends, but it seems too general, too conspiratorial, even paranoidal. I'd like specifics.

Trying to understand,

Kerry
