Why do a lot of people take drugs?

Let's assume that life is awesome and that your mind is fantastically perceptive and creative, and that it remembers everything. That studying is fun and everyone gets A's because all teachers know how to communicate subject matter so that it gets gotten. And best of all, that you and all fifty of the other teens in your village, (which happens to be the only village on the planet) absolutely love and respect everyone's parents and all the elders; and everyone is totally happy. And, that joy, laughter, giggling and love are within a glance or a conversation with any one of your village members.

Given this scenario it's a bit difficult to imagine why one would smoke pot, or for that matter take any drugs.

It could be said that the reason anyone takes drugs is because they aren't satisfied with what they are experiencing, and, that they don't know how to get high or hallucinate through communication (genuine intercourse).
