The Community Support Group Project is a proposed weekly televised meeting to be presented to the Big Isle community by a local TV station. The program consists of 10 volunteer parolees (male or female), ten volunteer assistants from the community, and a communication skills coach. Community members may call in during the show and comment on the conversations taking place. The aim of the support group is zero recidivism, zero returning to prison. The support group is based upon research revealing that how we have been communicating with each other and parolees (our collective leadership-communication skills) causes 42% to return to prison.
