Motorcycle Clubs to Give Special Gift This Year

A news release I'd like to read.

Motorcycle Clubs to Give Special Gift to Entire Community This Year

The presidents of all the motorcycle clubs in Hawaii announced that the holiday season will be much quieter this year due to a new club rule. From now on all motorcycle club members will be required to have mufflers that comply with the noise code.

"It just doesn't make sense for us to do so much good for children during the holidays with our Toys for Tots programs and disregard the peace and serenity of their parents, our neighbors."

Each club will own their own noise measurement instrument and test for idle and acceleration muffler noise.

“While it's true that most bike owners love the throaty sound of a well tuned machine we've also known all along that the sound a bike makes at idle is way less than what neighbors hear as we accelerate past their homes. In truth the new rule is an idea whose time has come; it feels good, it's the right thing to do. It's aloha.”
